Investigation Update 3.19.2017

What a weekend we had in Savannah! Not only was it Saint Patrick’s Day, but that also means that we had a three day festival extravaganza in town. That meant lots of people downtown and lots of people wanting to investigate with us. Here’s a little taste of what went on in the building.

On Sunday night, Kelley was our lead investigator, which is a change from the usual lately in the building. Usually on Sunday and Mondays, Willie is our lead, but this week Kelley took over. This must have led to some confusion, because the investigators heard the name “Willie” come through the Spirit Box a few times in a confused tone. They also heard the names Vincent, Michael, David, and Ann come through more than once. One of the investigators, Dan, heard his name called through the device several times.

It seemed like the spirits were in a test mood that night. Many of their responses through the Spirit Box were tense and even snippy. One of the investigators asked “Can you make my wife’s EMF detector go off” and they heard “It’s hard for me” as the reply. When they asked what they meant by that, a woman’s voice came through and said “You’re an asshole”. Ouch.

A little while later, the investigators started asking more direct questions. One of the ladies asked “Do you like staying in this warehouse” and the sad reply they heard was “Hate it… help”.

Kelley took over again on Tuesday night with two different groups of investigators who were happy to be in the building.

One of the investigators, Sam, ended up having some remarkably personal responses through the Ovilus when he had it on his own. On the screen they read “Flavor”, “Test”, “Company” and then “Mars”, which was incredible because he works in the Flavor Department at the Mars Company. Whenever his wife would take the device the screen would only read the word “Green”, which was the color of the jacket she was wearing. They also heard “Jacket” come through the Spirit Box.

One of the other ladies investigating kept asking for names, and when she did, on more than one occasion her own name came through and her husband's as well. Other names that she heard were Paul, Ann, Emmett, Seth, Ed, Will, and Ted. Some of the phrases that they heard didn't really make much sense in the context of what the investigators were asking or talking about. They heard "Double double affair", "What children", "Port" and "Resist".

On the next night, Willie was the lead investigators. The strange activity started while the investigators were watching the Ghost Adventures video. Out of the corner of their eyes it seemed as though something was moving around in the far side of the warehouse, although no one was over in that area. Right around this same time, the EMF detector that Willie had set up on the Stage Area started to flash and then sat on red for a long time- like something was giving it constant energy.

When the investigators started in the Stage Area in earnest, they noticed that much of the activity was swirling around one of the guys investigating. They heard the name "Weeks" come through the SB-7, which was followed by Bailey. This was the name of one of the investigators! Bailey ended up having great luck getting the spirits to light up the EMF Detectors on the stage, and again in the Slave Quarters.

Some strange stuff was happening in the Slave Quarters for another investigator. One of the ladies started having an incredibly terrible pain in her foot- as if it was cramping and swelling, which was not normal for her. In the end, this investigator ended up taking off her shoe, but it didn't help much. Only when she moved out of the Slave Quarters did the pain ease up in her foot.

Kaitlyn took over as the lead investigator on Thursday night on an evening when the investigators started a little bit early because everyone was so eager to get started. The highlights of this night were definitely with the Digital Thermometers, and in the Gribble House hot spot.

There seemed to be one deep male voice that followed them around the building. It was really hard to understand what he was saying, but his voice was distinct and very recognizable and was heard as they moved around the building. They heard this voice a great deal in the Residual Area, but that wasn't the only interesting activity in that area. One of the investigators kept having his name called through the Spirit Box, "Sebastian", "Sebastian". Sebastian asked "Did you know me before I came here" and they heard "Yea". "How long did you known me", "A long time" came the reply.

Something odd happened in the Gribble House area- something that doesn't happen to Kaitlyn frequently. As she walked into the space, she was struck by the very pungent aroma of the floral perfume. But, on this occasion, it was so strong she started to feel nauseous. So nauseous that she had to excuse herself from that area, even though the other investigators didn't even smell it!

Finally, Saturday night we had two giant investigations with both Ted and Kaitlyn taking the lead. During the first investigation of the night, there was a lot of nasty language coming through the Spirit Box. The nasty word of the night was "F*ggot", and they heard it all over the building. Not only did someone get called "F*ggot" in the Slave Quarters, the same thing happened again in the Gribble House. When they asked "Did you call me a f*ggot" they heard the reply of "Yes" and then "F*g". Not nice.

Some strange noises were coming through the Ghost Box throughout the night. Not only did the investigators hear a lot of random screams come through, there was also really creepy laughter coming through- both adult and children.

There were times while the investigators were at the Stage Area that the Spirit Box and the Ovilus seemed to sync up. They heard "Paul" come through the Ghost Box at almost the exact same time that they also read his name on the Ovilus screen. The same thing happened with the word "Sure" and then later with the name "Lisa".

Last but not least, the second investigation of Saturday night was really interesting and full of activity. There seemed to be a lot of begging coming through the Spirit Box on this night- many "Please"s and "Help"s and "Help me"s, so much so that it was making the investigators uncomfortable. One of the investigators got some uncomfortable throughout the course of the night that she had to step out of the Slave Quarters and go into the Safe Room.

The CCTV cameras were very helpful on Saturday night, showing an amazing number of orbs zooming around the room. This really helped the investigators to see activity in the building that they would not have normally seem with their eyes in real time.

There was some physical activity in the Slave Quarters when one of the ladies felt a tap on her shoulder. This is always an unsettling experience. When the investigators asked how many spirits were in the area with them they heard a lot of different replies. "20", "3", "6" and "10". Crazy!
