Investigation Update 8.28.2016

Happy Sunday, Gribble fans! We had an excellent week in the building and can't wait to share our findings with you. So, here it is:

Kait was our lead investigator on Monday night this pas week. The investigators started their evening in the Slave Quarters, where they immediately heard from two spirits. They called themselves David and Hunter. Hunter was very chatty, and using the Ghost Box and asking the right questions, the investigators learned that Hunter's favorite color was "Green", and that there were "Eight" spirits in the room with them.

When the investigators moved into the Gribble House area, Kait was telling the investigators about how sometimes the guest investigators get more activity when they are alone than when the lead investigators were there because the spirits don't like them much. Kait told them that Paul doesn't like her very much and a big loud "YEA" came over the Ghost Box. A little bit later one, a spirit replied to another one of Kait's comments. As she walked into the Gribble House area to move them to another hot spot she asked "How are you doing"? Through the Spirit Box they heard "Great"!

Ted took the lead on Monday night with some seasoned investigators and two who were relatively new- but everyone was ready and excited to investigate! On this night, they started out at the Stage Area where they heard a loud and clear "Damn" as they walked up. There was some strange activity going on in that area. The investigators asked "Can you light up the green light on the chair", and they heard "I can't" come through- but despite saying they could not, the EMF Detector started to flash. A few moments later they heard a little girl's voice come through followed by children's laughter. When the investigators asked "How many children are here tonight" they didn't get a clear response.

The strange activity continued into the Slave Quarters. As they walked in to the area, over the Ghost Box they heard a very menacing and angry growl come through. The investigators were conversing with a spirit who called himself Hector who had a Spanish accent but the conversation stopped quickly when the investigators heard a cough come from the Slave Quarter door. Creepy!

In the Residual Area, once again the investigators experienced some strange activity. After hearing the cough in the Slave Quarters, the investigators were hoping for some more physical activity. They asked "If someone is here, please make a noise in the warehouse". Just after, they all heard what sounded like a metal "Clinck" come from the yellow rail.

Kait was our lead investigator again on Wednesday night where the investigators started once again in the Slave Quarters. As they walked towards that hot spot, they could see that the Raggedy Ann doll was already flashing strongly. Right away, two spirits made contact with the investigators before they could even ask who was in the are with them. They called themselves Will and Seth. When Kait came walking over she asked "Who are you talking to", to which they heard "Me". When she asked if they could have a name, the response they got was "Sure", but never did get a name.

In the Gribble House area they could smell that distinctive smell of floral perfume, but the most interesting moment of the investigation was in the Residual Area. There was a spirit in that area who called herself Melody, and she seemed to play radio music for them on demand! They would ask to hear the music again, and it would start playing. Amazing!

Again on Friday night, Ted was our lead investigator. On this night, there was some activity that was so odd that it shook up the investigators. When the investigators started the night in the Slave Quarters, the investigators who had brought actual cameras in the building with them, their batteries died almost immediately.

The most unsettling moment of the evening came in the Gribble House hot spot. As they sat down they asked "Who is here", to which they heard the reply "Chris". Chris proceeded to make the Raggedy Ann doll flash several times. They asked him "Chris what are you doing right now", to which they heard "Hiding". "Why are you hiding", "Jail". Then they asked "Chris, what is your last name", "Smith".  "How did you die, Chris", they asked. "Bullet". The very strange part of all of this is that one of the investigators had a roommate in the army whose name was Chris Smith, who shot himself.

In the Residual Area, this is where the physical activity really picked up. One of the investigators felt something touch her right arm just as the investigator next to her felt like he was being brushed out of the way. During the portion where they were asking questions with the Ghost Box, one of the investigators saw the figure of a person stalking around in front of the garage door near the Gribble House. Finally, the most intriguing part of that hot spot was when an investigator was sitting in a metal folding chair and was yanked back by almost 4 inches. Amazing!

Finally, on Saturday night Kelley and Ted led the investigating that night. This night had an amazing amount of activity as well. In the Slave Quarters, one of the investigators said he was going to be "Right back". Through the Ghost Box they heard "No wait... stay". This was followed by some startling physical activity. One of the investigators suddenly felt pressure on their face and the metal chair they were sitting in started to vibrate as they heard the word "Leave" come across the Ghost Box.

This kind of activity continued. During the free time portion of the night one of the female investigators was standing in the center of the building using the Spirit Box. As she was standing there, she felt her phone lift out of her back pocket and drop onto the floor. A few minutes later when everyone had moved back into the Safe Room to end their night, two of the investigators saw a man walking from left to right in the middle of the building. Strange!

A fantastic week for us and for all our investigators! If you have anything you'd like to share with us, please tag us with the @gribblehouse or #gribblehouse- and you can always send it direct!
