Investigation Update 4.24.2016

What a great week for us- again! It seems like every week is a good week for us. Here's some of what took place in the building.

Kelley was our lead investigator on Sunday night. The K-II and the REM Pod were both strangely quiet that night, with not one lick of action taking place with them. But, the Ghost Meter Pro and the Raggedy Ann Doll were both amazingly active, all over the building.

There seemed to be a lot of Spirit Box activity happening in the Slave Quarters. When it came time to leave that hot spot and moved towards the Stage Area, the investigators said their goodbyes. Through the Ghost Box they heard "Appreciate it", as a means of farewell. Kelley commented "There must be a nice guy in there", and as they made their way over to the Stage they heard the Spirit Box repeat that phrase- "Nice guy".

A few strange things happened while at the Stage Area. Not only did there seem to be a large number of children's voices coming through, but one lady felt like someone was pulling her hair almost constantly! A few names came through the Spirit Box, including Kurt, Jacob, Steven, Scott, and Michael. But, two guests also had their names come through- both Tim and Ashir.

The building had a very distinct creepy vibe to it on Monday night. All night long it sounded like someone was walking upstairs- there was a lot of creaking going on, even in places where that shouldn't be happening! Although the REM Pod had been quiet the night before, it definitely wasn't on Monday night. In a few different spots of the building, the REM Pod went off for a temperature drop- especially by the Gribble House gate. Everyone seemed to get goosebumps at the same time, too.

Kelley, who was our lead investigator that night, had her name come through three times in a row while at the Stage Area. When they asked for names, two female voices replied with Maggie, and then Peggy. Although it was just two female voices at first, one man who was investigating seemed to have one spirit who was drawn to him. The same male voice would come through each time he asked a question. Strange.

There were orbs flying around the building that night, and the investigators were able to capture a few of them in their photographs. The K-II Meter was pretty active, too. The investigators were able to get the device to flash up to the red on cue, while asking yes and no questions.

Ted took the lead on Tuesday night, and there was activity happening even before the official investigation began. As he was showing the investigators how the Ovilus works, and what it does, across the screen read "Killed", "Soldiers", and then "Green". Very interesting.

One word in particular kept coming through the Spirit Box while the investigators were at the Stage Area- "Bet". They asked "If you are not Paul or Steve, who are you?". They heard "Howard". Ted then asked "Why are you here?", to which they heard "Bet" for the first time. Our youngest investigator that night asked "Can you come over and touch my green light?". Once again they heard "Bet" come through. Thinking that perhaps the spirit was talking about gambling they asked 'What do you want to bet on". The response they got was very odd- "Come on- three dollars". So cool.

The investigators were getting a lot of responses, but sometimes what they were hearing wasn't very welcoming. They heard quite a few "Get out of here"s, "Leave"s, and even a few "Shut up"s. What's even more disturbing was the amount of swearing coming through the Ghost Box. F-words, slurs, and "Bitch" were heard several times.

Kait took the lead as investigator on Wednesday night. On that evening, the Slave Quarters was by far the most active are of the building. It seemed like the Raggedy Ann doll and the EMF detectors were going out of control. One of the speakers kept turning on and off, and Kait couldn't seem to figure out why. Once she double checked and made sure that that batteries were good, the investigators thought that their speaker issues would be fixed. But then they heard from a spirit who called himself Doug. Doug chatted with them for a bit, and then said the word "Button". Promptly, the speaker shut off!

Everyone moved over the Stage Area, then, and had a great conversation with another spirit. The investigators were talking to one another about the game "Duck, Duck, Goose", and over the Spirit Box they heard "Duck". Kait asked "Do you want to play a game with us", and the response they heard was "I don't".

When the investigators moved over into the Gribble House area, they had an experience that Kait described as being probably the "creepiest thing" she's ever heard. They asked if there was anyone in that hot spot with them, and over the Spirit Box they heard a child's voice say "Hi", followed by very distinct giggling...

Kait was in the lead again on Thursday night. This night had its very own creepy moment from the second that Kait turned the Ghost Box on. Through the device they heard "Join us". Very creepy.

In the Slave Quarters, they heard from two spirits who told them their names were Freddie and Kurt. Between these two entities, it appeared as though they were making the Raggedy Ann doll flash. Another spirit, who called himself Richard, told the investigators that it was "Kurt" and "Freddie" who were making her go off.

Paul was really being quite rude at the Stage Area on Thursday night. As they walked into that hot spot, Paul called Kait a "Whore", and didn't talk much. That was, until he started saying the name "Molly". He said that name over and over, several times, but would not say who she was. When it came time to leave that area and move on, Paul added insult to injury and told them to "Piss off".

Ted was our lead investigator on Friday night. Everyone started at the Stage Area that night. When they asked who was with them in that hot spot, the response they heard through the Spirit Box was "Jim". One of the ladies investigating was holding a Ghost Meter Pro, so she asked the spirit to light up the device if their name was Jim- and it did! A few minutes later, after the investigators had moved on and started asking other questions, they heard a full name come through. This time they heard Jim Smith. Very interesting.

While watching the CCTV cameras near the Stage Area, the investigators noticed quite a few strange and unaccounted for movements. One of the ladies investigating saw a shadow walk across the warehouse on Channel 6, which is where the windows and Swamp Fan are located. Everyone was accounted for, so there was no way this could have been one of the folks investigating. "What is your name" she called out to the shadow. Through the Spirit Box they heard "Derek". Another investigator saw a super large orb soaring towards the Stage Area, and through the Spirit Box this time they heard a woman's voice say "Help". "Are there any women here" they asked. This was followed by the reply "I am here", in a woman's voice.

In the Gribble House area, there was another strange moment when the investigators heard country music coming from their phones, which was odd because none of them had music playing...

And finally, Saturday night! Kelly and Kaitlyn were our lead investigators through two big tours. During the first investigation, there was activity all over the building, and with almost every piece of equipment the girls brought out- the Spirit Box, the REM Pod, the Ghost Meter Pro, and the Raggedy Ann doll. Very cool.

There seemed to be a lot of physical evidence going on in the building, as well. The temperature was pretty warm inside the building, but everyone was experiences chills- and at the same time, even. Both the REM Pod and the Digital Thermometer were able to document some temperature drops, especially in the Gribble House area, and at the stairs near the Slave Quarters. While Kelley was showing everyone the video, she thought that she had tripped over someone's foot, but no one was standing near her.

One name in particular came through in a lot of the different hot spots- Zach. They heard his name quite a few times, but the most at the Stage Area. They asked Zach if he was in the war, to which he replied "I was". They also heard the names Alex, David, Dough, and Ray.

Two of the groups investigating seemed to have some spirits that were following them around. Spirits who called themselves Michael, Ben, Brian, and Billy all came through for two of the groups in almost every hot spot.

The second investigation on Saturday night was just as good. One of the groups, a party of six, were walking towards the Stage Area once the official investigation began. As they walked towards it, through the Spirit Box they heard a lot of "Hello"s coming through. Once everyone had settled in, and started asking questions they heard "Paul" come through three times in a row! "Paul, how old were you when you died?". Through the Ghost Box they heard "Eighty-five".

Another group who was investigating decided that they were going to try to get some responses through their flashlights- and it worked! Once these four put their flashlights on the ground, they asked the spirits to communicate with them by making the torches flash. The same voice kept coming through the Spirit Box as they did this- really cool.

During the free investigation time, the Ovilus screen came up with the name Veronica. Then the investigators noticed something strange. Whenever they would say the name Veronica, they noticed that the Ghost Meter Pros would light up. Pretty odd. All of the investigators came together during the free time to get some activity together and they had a really strange and sort of funny moment. One of the investigators asked about the woman who sometimes came through for them. They asked "Is the man keeping you from talking to us?". Through the Ghost Box they heard "Yes". One of the investigators then said "If you are a gentleman, then you will leave the lady alone." The response was chilling- "Make me".

What a good week for us, and for everyone who investigated! If you see an image of yourself, as always, go ahead and tag it! If you have an image or video you'd like to share with us, either send it direct or tag us with the @gribblehouse or #gribblehouse. See you next week!
