Investigation Update 2.29.2016

Happy early Leap Year to all you folks! That means what we have one extra day of investigating this year, which is a great thing. Here's what's been going on in the building this week:

Our week started on Monday night with Kelley as the lead investigator. She investigated with two ladies from Canada who really had a great time. It seemed like the Spirit Box was less chatty than usual, but the responses they did get were very pointed and very specific.

The night started out at the Stage Area where they heard "Rick" come through immediately, followed by "We're dead".  Kelley asked if any of the spirits would like to talk with her and the response she got was "Not tonight". As Kelley was explaining the equipment to the two ladies, the same male voice kept coming through the Ghost Box saying "Cool".

There was a strange exchange in the Gribble House area as the women were snapping photos into the caged area. "Who doesn't like flash" was spoken through the Ghost Box, while just after a different voice communicated "Hate the flash". Awesome!

In the Slave Quarters, they heard several children's voices come through. When one of the ladies asked how many children were in the area with them the response they got was "20". Two of the people they heard from were named Jane and Will, but they were told that there were "No good" spirits in the Slave Quarters.

Kait was the lead investigator on Tuesday night, on an evening when they started in the Slave Quarters. As soon as they entered that hot spot, the Raggedy Ann doll started blinking right away. Kait asked "Who is here with us and touching the doll?". The response they got was "Zero". A little while later, they asked again who was touching the doll and the response they got this time was "Steve".

There was a spirit in the building that night named Dana who provided them with a lot of activity. They asked Dana if he could make the EMF detector flash to the red while they were in the Gribble House are, and the word "Clap" came through the Spirit Box. The investigators clapped their hands and then the EMF blinked. This happened twice for them. Pretty cool! When they moved into the Residual Area, they heard from Dana again. This time, there was a ton of EMF activity going on. At one point, as they were talking to Dana, every person suddenly felt a cold spot come over them.

One of the groups investigating heard from Steve all over the warehouse, to the point where it just seemed like they were having a long conversation. One of the investigators tripped in a small dip in the floor and asked "Steve, why didn't you warn me about that?". The response they heard was "You're fault".

On Wednesday night, Ted was the lead investigator for an interesting night. Although the night started as usual, one of the girls got too spooked by the Ted and the background of the building to go any further! They didn't have an investigation after that...

Thursday night was a really good one for Kelley and the guest investigators. The three ladies who investigated with us started out at the Stage Area and really got the jackpot with a full name. They asked "Who is with us here tonight" and "Private David Correy" came through. Very cool! The REM Pod was very active from them while they were in this hot spot, and they were able to get it to go off on cue by asking.

When they walked into the Gribble House area, they were greeted by someone who said "Hi punks", but that was the end of their greetings. Almost immediately that was followed by "Get out" and then "Stop coming here", then "Turn and walk". Very unsettling.

Kelley was our lead investigator again on Friday night with an awesome group of folks. Everyone had very strong K-II and Raggedy Ann doll activity not just in one area of the building, but at both the Stage and the Gribble House. Two of the women even had their names called through the Ghost Box- "Brandy" and "Amanda"! So cool.

The two ladies who had their names called were in the Gribble House area when they asked the spirits to touch the EMF detector and make the light go up to the red. Even though they said please the spirit responded with "Can't". When it did finally light up they asked who had touched it. "I'm John" came through. When they started talking about taking some photos, that same voice came through and said "Picture".

In the Slave Quarters, the other group got some really great Spirit Box activity. They didn't really want to go all the way inside of the room, but still managed to pick up a lot of activity from the doorway. They heard "Leave" and "Get out" followed by "The door" come through as they stood in the doorway. They also heard "Afraid". One of the investigators asked if the spirits in the Slave Quarters had been treated well and "Whipped" was the response.

Finally, Saturday was a really good night with Ted as the lead investigator. They started the evening in the Slave Quarters where the K-II Meter was very active. At one point, the device was geared all the way up to the red and was holding that energy level for quite some time. When it did finally come back down to the green, one of the investigators asked "Can you do that again"? Once more, the K-II went back up to red, but only momentarily.

The K-II Meter was just as active at the Stage Area, but it was acting fairly strangely. The device was set up on one of the folding chairs and was flickering steadily, that is, until Ted started walking towards it. As soon as he walked over to the folding chair, the K-II immediately stopped. The same thing happened for two other investigators. One woman investigating with us, however, had better luck. When she walked over, it continued to flicker and she was even able to sit next to the K-II while it held its energy to the red.

There was some really interesting Ghost Box activity in the Residual Area. Ted was walking towards the Slave Quarters while the investigators were in the Residual Area. As he walked through the doorway, he said "How's it going in here" and "What's up" came through the Ghost Box for the people in the Residual Area. That same voice came through and said "How's it going" when Ted walked towards them in the Residual Area and said "How's it going here". Pretty cool!

Another investigator had a pretty personal moment. She was talking about her sister who was watching her kids during the investigation and the name "Tammy" came through the Ghost Box. That just so happens to be the name of her sister!

Woman In White 02.21.2016

Ted captured this picture on Sunday night. On the left side of the image is the ghostly figure of a woman in a white dress. We've gone ahead and outlined exactly what you're looking at and we promise! No one in the building was wearing anything close to that attire. Great shot!

Investigation Update 2.21.2016

What a great week! We collected some awesome evidence inside the building this week. Here's what's been going on:

On Sunday night, Kelley was our lead investigator for an awesome Valentine's Day night! When she was setting up for the night, a strange thing happened to her. She was in the front Safe Room setting everything up, which included hanging the Gribble House sign. As she lifted it up, it felt like someone actually took hold of the left side of it to help her set it on the hook! When she looked back over her shoulder, no one was there.

Before the investigation started, the guest investigators asked if anything in particular attracts more activity, so Kelley told them that in the last few weeks she's noticed that military service men and women had been getting a lot of activity. It just so happened that one of the folks investigating that night was a Marine, and it did seem like he got a lot of action around him. They heard "E7" come through the Ghost Box, and the Ovilus gave him a lot of words that corresponded with their Ghost Box. While at the Stage Area, he asked if there were any soldiers in the hot spot with them and "Three" came through. Pretty neat.

The other group investigating heard some very unsettling noises come through their Spirit Box- mostly screams. But it wasn't just eerie screams coming through, they had some fun moments too! One of the investigators called out "Marco", and the response that came through was "Polo". Awesome!

On Tuesday night, Ted was the lead investigator. Activity started even before anyone had broken out any equipment! As Ted was showing the guest investigators around to the Hot Spots, they got to the Residual Area and heard a really strange noise. It sounded like someone was opening and closing the Slave Quarters door! No one was around it, but everyone heard the noise.

Once the investigation started, they walked into the Gribble House area, and immediately heard a loud "Get out" come through the Ghost Box. You can listen to that here:

Just after "Get out" came through, it was followed by a very rude "Get the f* out".

In the Residual Area, the guest investigators were asking some good questions, and getting responses not only from the Ghost Box, but also from the Ovilus. But most interestingly, it was while they were in this area again that they heard strange noises- like they had heard the Slave Quarters door earlier in the investigation. They heard a loud "Knock" spoken followed by a loud actual knock coming from the center of the building. A few minutes later, they heard two distinct thuds directly above them on the roof. "Are you making noises on the roof" Ted ask, which got the response of "Henry".

On Thursday night, Kelley was our lead investigator with a really good pair. There was really good Ghost Meter Pro and K-II activity all night long, even though it seemed like the Spirit Box was a little more quiet than usual. There was one long conversation with Steve at the Stage Area that was very interesting. As soon as they walked over to that area, Kelley called out and asked who was there with them and "Steve" came through. Although, when she called out for Steve and Paul, the response they got was "They're wicked".

In the Gribble House area the word "House" came through. They also heard the word "Hide" come through the Spirit Box, and then it was repeated three times over the Ovilus. That seemed to happen while they were trying to communicate with any children spirits in the area. There were quiet a few children and teenaged voices coming through, but no one seemed to want to communicate.

They had a strange moment in the Slave Quarters involving a child. Someone was touching the Raggedy Ann doll, so one of the investigators asked who was touching her, if it was a man, a woman, a boy, or a girl. "The boy" came through and just after the voice of a little boy came through and said "Help me". Very sad.

Kait was the lead investigator again on Friday night. The first group that went into the Gribble House heard "I love you" come through as soon as they walked in over the Spirit Box. In addition to having a lot of EMF activity, there was a rather drastic temperature drop. Using the Digital Thermometer they documented a drop from 54 down to 34. That's amazing!

At the Stage Area, Paul told them that he had a girlfriend named Ivy. One of the girls investigating who had been on an investigation before with us asked if Paul remembered her. Unfortunately he responded with "No".

Kelley was our lead investigator with Tricia and Kaitlyn as back up on Saturday night for two big tours. The first group that investigated with us had two folks who decided to stay in the Safe Room for most of the night, but still used the Spirit Box and Ghost Meter Pro up there and got some really good activity. Once when they asked for names they heard "Ford" and "Doc". Pretty cool. The rest of the group in the building made contact with what they thought was a child's voice. They heard "Help" and then when they asked if it was a child they heard "Teen" come through.

The other group investigating in the Slave Quarters got a lot of child and teenaged voices, too. One of the ladies asked if the children would like to play and a gruff male voice came through and said "I will". Creepy. One of the group of six brought their own equipment and brought everything like a purple laser grid, a Mel Meter, and had some really great Spirit Box replies.

The Stage Area was full of K-II activity all night long, sometimes all the way up to the red. One of the investigators asked for last names, and they heard Stewart and Woodrow. The first names of Michael, George, and Steve come through.

The second tour of the night was just as good as the first. There were some amazing EVPs coming through the Ghost Box. They heard a lot of greetings come through, like "Hi ya", and "Hello". THey also heard some names like Esther and Ingrid. One woman came through and called out "MY BABY", which was very sad.

In the Gribble House area, one particularly deep and ominous voice came through and told the investigators to "Get down". When the investigators asked who was hurting him the response they got was "It's you", but then didn't hear from that strange voice again.

Another group had the same deep male voice come through almost all night long for them. Although the names Kevin and David came through, they didn't think that was the deep male voice One of the guests, Bev, had her name called through the Spirit Box! Awesome!

It was a really great week for us, both in activity and weather- and our investigators had a great time, too! If you see any images of yourself, feel free to tag yourself and of course, feel free to tag us!

Investigation Update 2.14.2016

Talk about a cold spell we've been having! Savannah was almost frozen over for the entire week. But that doesn't stop us! Here's what we've been up to at the Gribble House...

Our week started on Tuesday night with Kelley as the lead investigator, with a great pair who was ready and raring to go! There seemed to be a lot of really strong K-II responses, as well as Raggedy Ann Doll activity, not just in one or two hot spots, but all over the entire building. At several different times through the night, the investigators felt cold breezes that sent chills down them!

The Spirit Box was pretty active, as well, but it was acting sort of strangely. Instead of super clear and distinct phrases coming through all the time, the Spirit Box was delivering mumbled, and soft phrases that were hard to understand right away. There seemed to be a lot of child like whispers and babbling coming through. This is one of the reasons why we encourage our investigators to use their cellphones as recording devices- you never know what you'll hear come through the Spirit Box, or just be plain spoken, when you didn't hear it in real time.

While in the Slave Quarters, the Raggedy Ann doll started flashing at one point. As soon as this happened, a little girl's voice came through the Spirit Box saying "Precious". When they asked her what her name was, the only reply they got was "Anne". Everyone could hear what sounded like rustling leaves and feet coming from the Residual Area, but even stranger, it sounded like there were creaking footsteps coming from above them...

When the investigators decided to ask about the triple murder that took place in the Gribble House area, the responses they got were unsettling. They heard "Raping", and "Bloody" come through the Spirit Box.

Thursday night was another good evening for us, with Kelley investigating with a great pair. The one guest investigator, Brian, came in as a skeptic, but asked the spirits to make him a believer. His name came through a few times at the Stage Area, but in the Gribble House area, they heard "British" come through the Ghost Box twice- and Brian is from England! In fact, a female voice came through and said "That man... he's British". Pretty cool.

In the Slave Quarters, there were a few strings of phrases that came through that were pretty eerie. Kelley asked if anyone in the room with them was sick and "We're dead" was heard. Just after that "I've been trying to throw up" came through followed by a little girl saying "Help". When the investigator Isabella asked her what had happened to her, she replied "Strangled".

The Residual Area heard quite a few children's voices coming through the Spirit Box, and there seemed to be more than normal K-II and Raggedy Ann doll activity in that hot spot...

Ted was our lead investigator on Friday night, with Tricia investigating with him. The building was full of activity! All of our investigators were able to capture some great evidence, in almost every hot spot of the building.

Paul was not in a very good mood at the Stage Area. One of the K-II Meters was set up in a folding chair. When it started flashing to red, Ted asked who was "Sitting in the chair". The response they heard first was "I am", followed by "Paul". 'How are you doing tonight, are you doing good", he asked. "NO" was the answer through the Ghost Box. When Ted was leaving the area to go check on some of the other investigators he said "I'll be right back". Through the Ghost Box they heard "Don't go". Pretty cool!

One of the investigators decided that he wanted to watch the CCTV monitors to see if there was any activity going on in the other parts of the warehouse. As he walked over to the screen, there was a flurry of orbs sailing across the monitor.

In the Gribble House area, one of the couples was joking about Valentine's Day. She said "We have been married for a long time, we don't know what holiday it is". Through the Ghost Box, everyone could hear laughter.

A guest investigator had the really cool experience of having his full name spoken through the Spirit Box... almost. One of the investigators asked the spirits if they had anything they would like to say. "Yes" came the response. "Can you say it then" she replied. Through the Spirit Box they heard "Lawrence... Robert". This was odd, because one of the guests' names is Robert Lawrence. Cool!

Valentine's Day Eve we had two really great tours with Kelley as our lead investigator, along with Tricia and Kaitlyn. One of the groups who investigated with us had been with us before, and immediately went to the Stage in the hopes of making contact with Paul, who had been very chatty with them the last time they were here. The one investigator, Holly, heard her name come through the Spirit Box almost as soon as they got to the Stage Area. Paul did say hello to them, in his own way. "Madame" came through, as well as "Paul, Paul, Paul" when she said his name. Steve made contact with them at the Stage too, but instead of Madame, he called her a "Witch".

While in the Gribble House Area, another group investigating noticed that there was a Christmas Tree packaged in a box way up high in the storage. One of the investigators asked "Do you celebrate Christmas?". Through the Ghost Box they heard "Yea... we did... in the past". That's really cool.

Names came through all over the building. The investigators heard Paul, Ricky, and Jay. There were also a lot of numbers coming through. When the investigators asked how many spirits were in the building with them they heard 20, and even "40... ghosts".

During the second investigation, the groups started the night at the Stage Area again. This time when they asked for Paul, he seemed to be nowhere to be found. Instead, when they asked "Paul, are you here?", the responses they heard through the Ghost Box were "Anna", "Ed", "Phil", "Derek", as well as "Lost" and "Foolish". One of the investigators asked if they could asked the spirits some questions, and a very polite "Please" came through.

There also seemed to be a child spirit near the Stage Area during the second investigation. They could hear a little girl come through the Spirit Box call out "Mommy". They tried to make contact with her, but her responses only came through in one word answers. One of the investigators asked her "Do you like to play with the TV", gesturing towards the CCTV monitors. "No", she replied, and they didn't hear from the little girl again.

In the Gribble House Area there were quite a few names coming through. They heard Rick, but the name Ben came through a full times, even his full name. "Ben Smith" came through. When the investigators asked how many spirits were in the room with them, they heard "Lots", followed by "We're stuck here". You can listen to that EVP here:

It was a really good week for us, and we're hoping that your spending your Valentine's Day snuggled up with your favorite kindred "spirit".
