Investigation Update 12.13.2015

It does not feel like December in Savannah right now- the weather is beyond perfect! And to top the week of nice weather off we've had some great investigations as well. Here's whats been going on...

Sunday night started off with Kelley as our lead investigator. Two of the investigators had been in the building before, and the other pair were relatively new to paranormal investigating- but everyone had a good time!

One of the most interesting events of the night was when one of the couples investigating captured the image of a shadow figure near the Gribble House. They were taking a few pictures in rapid succession and there didn't seem to be anything in the first few- but then they snapped a shot with a very clear figure near the door. You can see that here:

There were a lot of phrases coming through the Spirit Box that night, as well. The investigators heard "I won't come", "Leave me", and "Get out". There were also quite a few names coming through- Steve, Paul, Richard, Carolyn, Rick, Ed, Pete, Colby, Amy, Raymond, Willy, David, Annette, Ace, and Lisa. Both of the men investigating had their names called through the Ghost Box, as well.

Kelley captured a few interesting EVPs on Monday night. You can take a listen to one of them here:

Monday night had Kelley as the lead investigator again with a pair who had never done a paranormal investigation before, but really were pros at it from right off the bat! Again, there were a lot of names being called in response to the question "Can you tell us your name?". They heard Pat, Stephen, Mark, Ted, Megan, Rick, Ed, Nick, Paul, Wilbur, Mitch, Merle, Anne, Rach, Danny, David, Frank, Jack, Janet, Chris, and Ang.

There was a good bit of K-II and Raggedy Ann doll activity going on, but it was strange somehow. The lights would come up, but then go down slowly and dimly. It was almost like the spirits were having a hard time keep contact and pressure on the devices to keep them lit up.

A funny moment occurred when one of the guests had pulled out their iPhone and was talking about it. Over the Spirit Box the investigators heard "Great apple".

We had Ted as our lead investigator on Wednesday night. It was a pretty active evening. The one experienced couple from Sunday night came back to investigate with us again along with another family. Both groups were able to get some really good responses to direct questions.

In the Slave Quarters, the Raggedy Ann doll was flashing quite a bit. To make sure this wasn't a fluke, one of the investigators moved her into another chair and said "I am moving the doll". Over the Spirit Box they heard "Doll". When they asked who was touching her "Bishop" was the response. She started to light up again and they asked if Bishop was touching the doll. "Now" then "Touch" came through the Ghost Box.

Outside by the Stage Area, the REM Pod started going off on the yellow railing. There was a definite cold spot that was documented using the Digital Thermometer. Bridgette, one of the investigators, asked if someone was touching it and "Hi" came through. The EMF detector in Bridgette's hand went off twice and then her name came through the Ghost Box. Very cool!

Kait led the investigation on Thursday night. The pair that investigated with her that night actually have their own paranormal group! They started their night in the Slave Quarters, but opted not to use the Spirit Box. Instead, they used a Thermal Camera Flir that they had on their smart phone. Using the Thermal Camera, they were able to capture a child sized cold spot in the chair where the Raggedy Ann doll was set up. Really cool.

In the Gribble House hot spot they did decide to use a Spirit Box. As soon as they walked into that area they could smell the strong floral perfume most associated there. They then heard from a spirit who told them his name was "Burt". Burt made the EMF detectors flash a few times, but when they asked him to do it again he cried "It's a trap" through the Ghost Box.

Kait led the way again on Friday night. This evening, everyone started off in the Slave Quarters. As soon as they walked in, the Raggedy Ann doll started flickering. Although they asked a few times who was making her light up, the only response they got was "Children" through the Ghost Box. Although the EMF detector went off a few times, it seemed again like the spirits were struggling to come through. There weren't a lot of clear answers, but there was a good amount of chatter going on.

In the Residual Area, they heard from a spirit named Mike. Over the Ghost Box, Mike kept telling them he was hot and thirsty. When they asked him where he was, the answer they got was "France". Very interesting.
